Dirt Classic X Reserved Seats On Sale Now; Atomic DC X Qualifier Lost to Rain

Abbottstown, PA (July 10, 2023) โ€“ For the first time in Dirt Classic history it will take place over two days on Labor Day weekend. The โ€œKick-off to the Classicโ€ starts the weekend off on Saturday, September 2 and features a $36,450 purse with $10,000 to the winner. The top four feature finishers from Saturday lock into Sundayโ€™s dash. The $20,000 to win Dirt Classic X on Sunday, September 3 boasts a total purse of $63,975 with payouts for the B and C mains.

Reserved seats for both nights of the Dirt Classic weekend are available to purchase online at dirtclassic.com. Purchasing a two-day reserved seat in advance for $60 offers a $5 discount off gate prices, early entry both nights and pre-race pit access on Sunday, September 3.

Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio was slated to host a Dirt Classic Qualifier on Saturday, July 8, with the winner earning a guaranteed starting spot in Dirt Classic X. Unfortunately, the race was lost to rain and an unfavorable forecast. Atomic Speedway and the Dirt Classic are working on a make-up date. Sundayโ€™s Dirt Classic X is presented by Schmuck Lumber Co., a long-time partner of the Dirt Classic. Schmuck Lumber Co., has been a family owned and operated business in Hanover, PA since 1852. The Dirt Classic started as a collaboration between Lincoln Speedway and NASCAR car driver, Kasey Kahne. From 2019-2022 the event was sanctioned by the All Star Circuit of Champions. In 2023 the event will return to its roots and offer one of the largest unsanctioned payouts in Central PA, the hotbed of sprint car racing. Since itโ€™s inception in 2013, the Dirt Classic has featured seven different winners including three hall of fame drivers, Stevie Smith, Lance Dewease and Tim Shaffer.
