Abbottstown, PA (June 19, 2021)ย โ€“ Robbie Kendall was back in action on Saturday night after taking some time away from racing, โ€œWe took three weeks off. We sucked. I went on vacation and just wanted to know if I still wanted to do this or not.โ€ The time away paid off as Kendall parked his #55K in victory lane to take home $4,000. The win was Kendallโ€™s third at the track and first since May 2019. With Speedweek right around the corner Kendallโ€™s win came at a great point in the season, โ€œWe needed that. Hopefully this rallies into next. Weโ€™re going to run six of them.โ€

Greg Plank and Chris Arnold shared the front row for Saturdayโ€™s 30-lap feature. Plank led the field into turn 1 with Arnold and Austin Bishop battling wheel-to-wheel. Arnold took the second spot coming out of turn 2.

Tucker Klaasmeyer used the bottom of the track to work on Bishop for third. Klaasmeyer drove under Bishop in turn 3 on lap 3 to take the spot. Bishop spun around while running four in turn 2 bringing out the caution on lap 4.

Plank, Arnold, Klaasmeyer, Robbie Kendall and Jordan Givler were the top five for the single-file restart.

Klaasmeyer looked under Arnold in turns 1 and 2 on the restart. Tucker once again used turn 3 to his advantage, taking second from Arnold. Kendall was not far behind and challenged Arnold for third, taking the runner-up spot in turn 2.

Klaasmeyer took the lead from Plank on lap 6 with Kendall once again not far behind. Kendall moved under Plank in turn 3 to take second on lap 7.

In addition to the action at the front of the field, Chase Dietz and Freddie Rahmer were making their way through traffic from their thirteenth and fifteenth starting spots.

Klaasmeyer had a one second advantage over Kendall as they caught the tail end of the field on lap 12.

Kendall was closing in on Klaasmeyer and looked to his outside on lap 13 in turn 2. The two made contact, with Kendall saving his car from contact with the wall to maintain second.

Kendall stuck with Klaasmeyer as the two leaders made their way through heavy lapped traffic. Dietz and Rahmer continued their charge through the field and were battling for fifth.

Kendall took a peek under Klaasmeyer again with 10 laps to go. Robbie made the pass for the lead getting to the outside of Klaasmeyer in turn 2 on lap 21.

The yellow flag came out on lap 22 when Glenndon Forsythe fell off the pace on the back stretch.

Kendall led Klaasmeyer, Arnold, Dietz and Rahmer to the cone for the restart. Kendall had a solid restart with Dietz looking under Arnold for third. Dietz took the spot coming out of turn 4 with Rahmer right behind him. Arnold tried to reclaim the spot, but Rahmer held on.

Lapped traffic loomed ahead of Kendall when the white flag waved. Kendall took the checkered flag 1.373 seconds ahead of Klaasmeyer. Dietz finished third and Rahmer crossed the line fourth. Arnold completed the top five.

410 sprint car heat races went to Greg Plank, Tucker Klaasmeyer, Austin Bishop and Jordan Givler.

Scott Dellinger Wins Super Sportsman Tour Race

ย

Russ Mitten started on the pole of the 25-lap Super Sportsman Tour Series feature with Chase Gutshall lined up to his outside. Gutshall led the field into turn 1 with Mitten and Dellinger battling for second behind him. Dellinger looked under Mitten in turn 2 but could not make the pass.

Dellinger got by Mitten for second on lap 3.

Jay Fannasy and Kenny Edkin were racing side by side for fourth when Fannasy fell off the pace bringing out the yellow on lap 6.

Edkin raced wheel to wheel with Mitten on the restart for third but did not make the pass.

Dellinger was reeling in Gutshall as the top three pulled away from the rest of the field.

The top three, Gutshall, Dellinger and Mitten, battled for the lead. Gutshall used the bottom with Dellinger and Mitten using the high line around the track.

Dellinger looked to the outside of Gutshall and took the lead at the line on lap 13.

Mitten was right behind Dellinger looking to move into second. Mitten took a look under Gutshall in turn 2 but Gutshall held him off.

The following lap, Mitten took second from Gutshall as the two raced down the back stretch.

Mitten was closing in on Dellinger with five laps to go. Lapped traffic loomed ahead of the leaders and Mitten was searching the track for a way around Dellinger.

Fannasy got turned around in turn 2 with one lap to go bringing out the caution. Mitten was not able to avoid Fannasy and his night ended early while he was running second.

The field lined up behind Dellinger for a green, white, checkered finish.

Kenny Edkin got under Gutshall coming out of turn 2 for second.

Dellinger beat Gutshall to the line by 1.301 for his sixth career win at Lincoln. Luke Deatrick crossed the line third and Frankie Herr finished fourth. John Edkin completed the top five with Kenny Edkin slowing on the final lap, finishing sixth.

Super Sportsman heat winners were Tyler Wolford and Chase Gutshall.

Gene Knaub Wires Field in Limited Late Model Victory

Gene Knaub went into Saturdayโ€™s feature atop the all-time limited late model win list at Lincoln Speedway with 17 career wins. Knaub started on the pole of the 20-lap feature and had the lead at the start when the red flag came out before a lap was in the books. A total of 15 cars were collected in turn 1, blocking the track. The nine cars not involved in the melee were Knaub, Chad Myers, Tommy Slanker, Jed Latshaw, Dan Zechman, Ross Leinbach, Travis Mease, Kyle Moser and Wayne Bryant. ย the lead at the line

The field lined up for a complete restart with no change to the top five as they made it through turns 1 and 2 before the pile-up.

Knaub shot out to the lead again with Myers in second being challenged by Zechman. The red flag waved again on lap 1 for an incident on the front stretch involving Chad Earnst, Kyle Moser, Chuck Cox and Jake Moser.

Knaub led Myers, Zechman, Slanker and Latshaw to the cone for the single-file restart.

The caution waved for Mease on the restart when he stopped in turn 2.

The thirteen remaining cars lined up for the restart.

Kyle Lear was challenging Latshaw for fifth and took the spot in turns 3 and 4 on lap 2. Lear went right to work on Slanker for fourth. Slanker held the advantage at the line by half a car length on lap 4.

The yellow flag waved again on lap 4 when Colin Knaub spun around in turn 2.

The top five for the restart were Knaub, Myers, Zechman, Slanker and Lear.

Lear got under Slanker in turns 1 and 2 to take fourth on the restart. Lear then set his sight on Zechman for third. Slanker was holding off a charge by Latshaw for the fifth spot as Scott Palmer reeled them in while running seventh.

Palmer drove by Latshaw to take sixth down the back stretch.

Knaub entered lapped traffic with 5 laps to go. Two lapped cars battled side-by-side in front of the leader allowing Myers to close the gap as the laps wound down.

Knaub crossed the line 1.663 ahead of Myers for his 17th career win at Lincoln. Zechman held on to finish third and Lear was fourth. Slanker held on to finish fifth.

Kyle Lear, Chad Earnst, Dan Zechman and Scott Palmer were the limited late model heat winners.
